Manzanita Village Cohousing  is a community in the mountins of Arizona.

Challenge:

Establish a productive central commons using community resources and volunteer labor.

Solution:

Work with the community over a period of years to plan and install the landscape design of the core of the community, running a series of rainwater harvesting workshops where cisterns were installed, and building and planting water harvesting earthworks with native and edible plantings.
