Land Restoration of Native Meadow Using Water Harvesting Swales

Challenge:

Restore a native plant meadow to a former house site.

 

Solutions:

Water harvesting swales and erosion control structures were installed to reduce erosion and infiltrate rainwater into a meadow that was once a house site.  Native plant seed was sown and nurtured into establishement.
