Rock Star's Vineyard and Orchard steps up the side of a steep slope in the high desert of Arizona at 5000' elevation. This project involved the design and construction of several acres of terraces, and took 2.5 years to complete.

Challenge: Stablize a steep slope and set up a system for efficient movement and workflow on that terrain.

Solutions: Construct on-contour terraces using on-site rock and amend soils for over 700 vines planted in vineyard. In orchard, construct zig-zagging terraces to infiltrate runoff and super-hydrate planting areas during rain storm events.
