High Desert Homestead

New Mexico USA

A rural residential property in New Mexico that incorporates native plants and food producing trees.

Challenge:

To create a landscape that blends with the local environment, set against a modern design style home.

Solutions:

Native plants were used to soften the angular edges of a modern home in rural New Mexico.  Mesquite, desert willow, and cacti are planted alongside hops, pears, and peaches.  There is plentiful food for both humans and animals in this beautifully designed landscape.
