25-acre Homestead

Corvallis, Oregon USA

25 acre homestead built around a “village center” focusing on hazelnut production and wildlife habitat.

Challenge:

Create a working farm and homestead while preserving and improving wildlife access and corridors.

Solutions:

The Village Center is focused around animal areas and a duck pond.  Contour gardens flow down to the edge of a slough where wild birds flock and nest in the timber and shelter belt trees.  The design involved research into conventional Hazelnut production with help from the late Jeff Olsen (R.I.P.).

Lead Design: Andrew Millison
