10,000 Gallon Rainwater Harvesting System

New Mexico USA

Installation of subsurface water tanks capable of storing 10,000 gallons of rainwater harvested from on site.

Challenge:

To store a significant quantity of rain water without impacting landscape use.

Solution:

Four 2500-gallon rainwater tanks were installed below grade to maximize the usable space on this rural property.  Subsurface storage also mediates the water temperature in the tanks so that it never gets too hot in the Desert sun.
